William B Keyes was born in 1844.  He  enlisted from Middletown into the 25^th Regiment, Company A on August 23, 1862 as a Corporal.  He mustered out on August 26, 1863 in Hartford, CT.  His wife Emily collected his Civil War pension.  He died on January 12, 1898 at age 54 and is buried in Wilcox Cemetery.
