Samuel C. Bosworth, age 17, lived in Berlin with his parents Isaac, age 43, and Martha, age 36, and siblings Mary, age 15, Augustus, age 11, Josiah, age 9. He was born in Ohio. He enlisted into the 1st Light Battery on August 25, 1862. He mustered out on June 11, 1865 in Richmond, VA. On November 24, 1898 he was charged with improper conduct with young girls and sent to prison for several years (Hartford Courant). He collected his Civil War pension. He died on March 27, 1911 at age 77 and was buried in the Maple Cemetery
