Patrick Moore Coby  was born in Ireland.  He enlisted from New Britain into the 20^th Regiment, Company K on August 19, 1862.  He was wounded on January 21, 1863 in Dumfries, VA.  He was captured on May 3, 1863 in Chancellorsville, VA.  He was pardoned on May 3, 1863.  He was discharged on June 30, 1865.   He married Mary and had children: Thomas, Lewis, Susan,, Lucy, Patrick, John, Catherine, Susan.  He died on March 21, 1916 at age 82 years and is buried in Beckley Cemetery, East Berlin, Ct
