Nathan Koshland enlisted into the 7^th Regiment, Company I on February 16, 1864.  He mustered out on July 20, 1865.  After the war he moved to San Francisco, CA where he married Rosa and had children: Isadora, Julius, Cora, Florence.  He was a wool merchant.   He died on February 12, 1897 in California.
