Moses Gilbert Jr, age 28 in 1850 lived with his parents Moses, age  57, a farmer, and Irene, age 54, with his siblings:  William, age 25, Adeline, age 10, Lucifi, age 19.  He enlisted into the 14^th Regiment, Company F as a private.  He was promoted to Corporal on October 5, 1862.  He received a disability discharge on December 11, 1862.  After the war, Moses continued to lived with his parents as well as his wife, Julia age 25, and children: Waldo, age 4, and Eugenia, age1.  His wife Lucretia received his Civil War pension.  Moses died on November 23, 1891 art age 69 years, 7 months and is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in New Britain, CT
