John L. Kent, age 24, a mechanic living in 1860 Berlin with his wife Matilda, age 18 and son Leverett, age 8 months.   He enlisted from New Britain into the 16^th Regiment., Company G  on August. 9, 1862 and  Died on Sept. 17, 1862 at the Battle of Antietam, MD
