Ira Abealom Baldwin,   In 1850, Ira, age 17 lived with his parents Ida M, age 48, and Rhoda, age 43, and brothers Merritt W., age 15, Henry age 7, and Andrew age 9.  In 1860, Ira lived with his wife Nancy and their daughter Sarah, age 1.  Soon after they had a son named William.  Several children died young (Ira at 9 months in 1865, Ida at 9 months in 1868, child at 2 year in 1864, and Julius at 2 months in 1866).  On May 9, 1862, Ira enlisted in the 25th Regiment, Company A as a private.  His brothers Newton and Merritt also served in the war.  He mustered out on August 26, 1863 in Hartford, CT.  He received his Civil War pension.  He died March 4, 1902.
