Henry L. Newcomb enlisted from Franklin, CT into the 11^th Regiment, Company H on December 16, 1861.  He was discharged on December 22, 1864.  By 1870 he lived in Columbia, CT with his wife Abbey, age 20, and daughter Martha, age 2.  He died on February 25, 1877 at age 49 years and was buried in Ledge Cemetery on Cashman Place, Kensington.
