George A Kelsey

George A.  Kelsey, was born in 1833.  In 1860, he was age 25, a blacksmith, lived in Berlin with his parents Eli and Kelsey and siblings:       Frances, age 21, Isadora, age 17, Georgiana, age 5, Josephine, age 3.  He enlisted into the 1st Heavy Artillery, Company H as a private on May 22, 1861.  He was promoted to Corporal on March 9, 1862.  He was discharged May 21, 1864.   In 1880, he lived in Berlin with mother Eli, age 69, siblings:  Dora, age 37, and  Josephine, age 35, Minnie, age 22, and Howard age 19.   By 1900, he was 67 years old, living in Berlin with his wife, Wilhema, age 46, and children: Gertrude, age 14, and Wallace, age 7. He died on August 10, 1901 at age 67 and buried in Wilcox Cemetery in East Berlin.
