Franklin D. Jones was born on September 28, 1830.  He enlisted from Windsor into the 22^nd Regiment, Company A on August 18, 1862.  He mustered out on July 7, 1863.  In 1885 he married Clarissa and lived in Berlin as a farmer.  He collected his Civil War pension.  He had a habit of wandering away and was taken to a sanatorium in Windsor.  He died on July 31, 1913 at age 82 and was buried in Maple Cemetery, Berlin, CT.
