Davis D. Stevens, age 45, lived in 1860 in Rocky Hill with his wife Cornelia, age 28, and children: Corrie, age 11, Elvin, age 12, Frank, age 9, Charles, age 5, and Edyln, age 3. He enlisted from Rocky Hill into the 25th Regiment, Company B on September 9, 1862. He mustered out on August 26, 1863. After the war, he lived in Rocky Hill with his wife Cornelia, age 56, and children Beardlsey, age 14, and Edgar, age 14. He was a resident of Fitch’s Soldier’s Home in Darien, CT. He died on October 11, 1891 at age 76 and was buried in Beckley Cemetery in Berlin.
