Daniel Steele, age 10, lived in 1850 in Berlin with his parents Jefferson, age 48, and Louisa, age 43, and siblings:  Martha, age 5, Louise age 2, and Sara, age 2 months.  He enlisted into the 14^th Regiment, Company F on July 28, 1862.  He was wounded on December 13, 1862 in Fredericksburg, VA.  He mustered out on May 3, 1865.  His Civil War pension was collected by his wife Delia.  He died on November 5, 1895.
