Charles H. Stanley, age 14, lived in Berlin with his parents Oswin, age 45, and Maveta, age 47, and siblings: Seth, age 11, and George, age 8.  He enlisted into the 2^nd Heavy Artillery, Company E.  He was promoted to Sergeant on January 4, 1864.  He was killed at Cold Harbor, VA on June 1, 1864.
