Charles C Bowers

Charles C. Bowers was the son of Luther Bowers of Berlin.  He enlisted on August 6, 1862 into the 16th Regiment, Company G as a corporal.  He was wounded in the right leg  on September 17, 1862 at Antietam, MD.  He received a disability discharge on February 24, 1863.    He lived for many years in Brooklyn, NY. as a grinder.  He married Maria.   He died on February 10, 1899 at age 74 and is buried in the Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
